We will endeavor to keep you informed of any New Products under design through to their breakthrough into the marketplace, but first, we bring you a history of our company.
Numatic International was conceived in 1970, the brainchild of Mr Christopher Duncan, our Managing Director. The first Numatic machines were produced in a small workshop in Somerset, England and sold to local businesses. With a rise in the vacuum cleaning industry over the early seventies, Numatic began to take an ever-increasing slice of the UK cleaning trade from the larger `traditional' British manufacturers and the foreign corporations.
With a move in 1978 from Yeovil in Somerset to the small village of Beaminster in neighbouring Dorset, Numatic International moved into the floor machine, janitorial and more recently scrubber dryer markets. Eventually in 1992, with sales still increasing and feeling no effect from the `recession', with our market share reaching all time highs and export business booming it was time for a new larger site and relocation was inevitable. Moving to the small industrial town of Chard, and back in Somerset, new days were upon us.
With new warehousing, new manufacturing and office buildings,
state of the art production machinery and our own plastic moulding plant
we now have the 27 acre site for the future.......
